They were actors from the time she was young. Her godfather, the actor Telly Svalas, was a good friend of Jennifer's dad. As a result of her father's job as an actor the actress was able to travel all over the United States. Her parents separated after she lived in New York. She was taken away from her mother. Her education began at the Rudolf Steiner School when she aged six. The Waldorf school was founded on the ideas from Rudolf Steiner. She excelled in the field of painting, she was presented and exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Aniston decided to go into acting following the time seeing the Broadway production The Children of a Lesser God. At the age of 15 Aniston was admitted to The New York High School for Actors. When she finished her studies her job was in the restaurant chain called The Jackson Hole situated in Manhattan. The success of her performances brought her to numerous Off-Broadway plays, including For Dear Life at New York Public Theater as well as Dancing On Checker's Grave.
